Day and Night

 DAY

The bright rays of the sun danced on the pristine surface of the lake below. The leaves of the evergreen plants slowly let the pearl-like dewdrops on them drop one by one onto the rich soil below. The soil was not only rich with minerals, but with all sorts of astounding creatures too. The ants, nature's soldiers, walked neatly in a single file, not a single ant out of place. Worms wriggled out of the soil to feel the warm glow of the sun on their plump little bodies. The birds sang sweet melodies, and the flowers swayed in tune. It was the perfect morning.

NIGHT

The sun kissed the trees goodbye as it slowly sank into the horizon. The lively chatter of birds and children alike faded as they returned to their homes. However, even if all seems closed and abandoned at night, it is only then some of nature's spectacles show themselves. As the moon slowly began to shimmer its graceful glow onto the earth, it brought stars that lit up the dark canvas of the sky. The crickets start their little orchestra of chirping. The owls join in, their hoots making the night whole. Down by the pond, light flies display their luminous light, which reflects on the still woter below. The frogs croak merrily as they jump from lily pad to lily pad. Their smooth, slimy coat glitters in the moon's light, which smiles at the wonders of the night
